Assistant Manager: Starting at $23/hr-$25/hr (The final compensation offer will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and food industry certifications).

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation:
  • Memorize the 1-2-3 steps for building a proper superfood bowl and confidently explain the health benefits of ingredients to customers in an upbeat and informative manner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of food and Palmetto Superfoods recipes.
  • Uphold full acknowledgment and understanding of the brand's Employee Handbook (EHB) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), leading by example in adhering to all operational standards.
  • Prepare all food items accurately, timely, and in a sanitary manner following established procedures.
  • Ensure proper food prep, storage, and rotation procedures are followed, maintaining freshness and minimizing waste.
  • Monitor and track food quality throughout the shift.
  • Complete all opening and closing duties efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, lobby, dining area, and exterior at all times; wash and organize all kitchen tools (e.g., blenders, containers).
  • Receive, organize, and put away deliveries in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Practice cost-saving measures and efficient use of resources with inventory management.
  • Stay punctual and take scheduled breaks appropriately.
  • Handle unexpected or special situations with professionalism.

Leadership & Communication:
  • Lead by example and supervise shift operations to ensure smooth and timely service.
  • Assign duties and workstations to team members based on operational needs.
  • Train new team members in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Observe and evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to quality and service standards.
  • Foster clear communication among team members and with managers to ensure accurate, timely order preparation and shift coverage.
  • Report important updates or issues directly to the General Manager promptly.
  • Ensure a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented work environment.

Customer Experience:
  • Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a polite, positive, and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Accurately inform guests of wait times and product details.
  • Assist with ringing up orders, responding to text support, and answering phone orders.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and ensure satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a customer-facing or food service environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, efficiently delegate tasks, and uphold high operational and service standards.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Food Safety Manager Certificate is required prior to employment.
  • Experience with basic computer functions and POS systems, including handling order receipts and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to expedite and complete orders quickly and accurately, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both in person and through digital communication; a positive and engaging personality is essential.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., deliveries, supplies).
  • Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and consistently demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility with scheduling — shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (7 AM to 9 PM).
  • Open availability is strongly preferred.
  • Must hold a valid Food Handler Permit at the time of hiring.
  • Must be able to provide employment references and complete a reference check as part of the hiring process.
